How I Help
Life comes with lots of twists and turns that can leave you feeling overwhelmed and alone. I'm here to help you make sense of your experiences and decide where you want to go next, while giving you the skills you need to make it through the darkest times.
I have years of experience helping people transform their lives for the better. I would be honoured to accompany you on your journey to find the change that you want in your life.
Take the first step by booking a FREE 15 minute consultation.
I specialize in treating life transitions, grief, burnout, and money anxiety.
I can help with the following and more:
- Grief, loss, and life transitions: death of a loved one, relationship breakup or separation/divorce, aging parents, moving, job or career changes, family conflict, sadness, frustration, guilt and regret
- Burnout: low motivation, anxiety, stress, feeling overwhelmed and trapped, difficulties setting boundaries and saying no, struggling to communicate your needs, excessive people pleasing
- Money anxiety and financial trauma: overspending, fear and worry about money, avoidance, self-sabotage, dependence on others, hopelessness about the future, arguing about money, losing money to scams
I have over 5 years of experience helping clients overcome these painful issues and I would be happy to work with you.
If you are experiencing anything on this list, please feel free to book a free 15-minute consultation with me.
WHO I WORK WITH
Many of my clients are women in their 20s and 30s navigating a big life transition, burnout, or money stress, but I welcome anyone who feels this work would help them, including those new to therapy altogether. If you're not sure whether your situation fits, a free 15-minute consultation is a low-pressure way to find out.
ABOUT RACHEL GINSBERG, MSW, RSW
I am a compassionate, down-to-earth therapist with lived experience of mental health struggles.
I know how hard it can be to reach out for help and to find the right person to talk to. I am committed to offering therapy that is empowering, flexible, and judgment-free. My focus is to help you reach your goals while leaving shame and harsh self-criticism behind.
I've been registered as a social worker since 2020, starting at a family health team before running a private practice. Today I work solo, seeing clients in person in downtown Toronto and virtually across Ontario, Nunavut, and the Yukon.
My approach is integrative as I draw from CBT, DBT, parts work (IFS), and motivational interviewing, adapting within each session to what you need rather than following a fixed script. I'm also trauma-informed, which in practice means going at your pace and never pushing you past what feels safe.
I'm a member of the OCSWSSW and the Ontario Association of Social Workers, and I'm profiled on Psychology Today, Lumino Health, and Therapy Route.
